TCM tips: How to overcome overeating during Chinese New Year

The implication when eating too much:

During the Chinese New Year season, many of us have eaten one too many delicious chocolates, crispy potatoes, cookies, and others. So, do you know what happens to your body when you eat too much?


1) Nausea 恶心

Nausea is a term that describes the feeling that you might vomit. People with nausea have a queasy feeling that ranges from slightly uncomfortable to agonizing, often accompanied by clammy skin and grumbling or lurching stomach.


2) Indigestion 消化不良

- Eating too much, eating too fast, eating high-fat foods, or eating during stressful situations

- Drinking too much alcohol


3) Bloating 腹胀

-Too much salt, carbs.

-Overeat

-Soda

-Eat too fast

- Eat Some Ginger 生姜

Ginger has been linked to many health benefits. These include reductions in nausea, muscle pain, inflammation and blood sugar levels.

Drink some Hawthorn drink when consuming too much meat.

Digestive Health
